ABOUT
Who is Maggie?
Maggie A. Mathews is an award-winning real estate broker, mentor, coach, speaker, bestselling author, and philanthropist. With a rich background that spans from social work to becoming a prominent figure in real estate, Maggie brings a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and dedication to her clients.
Her journey began in the realm of social work, driven by a deep-rooted desire to serve and make a meaningful impact. Armed with a degree in behavioral sciences, Maggie joined the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as a case manager. This early experience instilled in her a profound understanding of people’s needs and the ability to solve complex problems, skills she seamlessly transferred to her real estate career.
A chance encounter with a friend’s real estate class opened a new chapter in her life. Despite initial challenges, Maggie’s determination and resilience saw her through the early years and helped her find her footing.
In 2008, the housing market crash became a pivotal moment. Faced with the choice of returning to social work or pursuing her goals in real estate, she chose the latter. This decision marked the beginning of her journey toward self-empowerment and success, guided by the teachings of influential figures like Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn.
Today, Maggie proudly serves as the Managing Broker of Realty of Chicago’s Northside office, overseeing a dedicated team of more than 450 agents. Under her leadership, the firm has experienced remarkable growth, ranking among the industry’s fastest-growing brokerage firms with significant achievements in sales and expansion. Today, her firm is 22nd out of 4,000 offices, with five locations, and $2 billion in aggregate sales.

Maggie’s dedication to excellence is reflected in her consistent recognition as a top-producing agent by the Chicago Association of Realtors and her multiple consecutive years as a Top 250 Agent by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Maggie received the “Woman of the Year” award from Today’s Inspired Latina in 2023, and the “Managing Broker of the Year” award from the Chicago Association of Realtors in 2021. These accolades highlight her commitment to helping others become the best versions of themselves.
As a Certified Maxwell Leadership Academy Mentor, Speaker, and Coach, Maggie leverages her extensive experience and profound understanding of leadership principles to inspire and empower individuals from all walks of life. Her commitment to personal development and community empowerment is particularly evident in her dedicated efforts to uplift Latina women. I hesitate to even write this because I (selfishly) don’t want anyone to take her away from us. I realize that sounds ridiculous…but that’s how AMAZING Maggie is. She is SO much more than a tremendous and talented real estate professional. She is an incredible human being that anyone would be fortunate to have on their side. She is communicative, responsive, diligent, and open minded with us. I highly recommend you work with Maggie if you have the opportunity!”
